This Renaissance tower, with a rectangular floor plan, was built between the 14th and 16th centuries. With a notable Italian influence, it is the most iconic monument in Benavites. It stands 22 metres high, has five floors and two distinct bodies. The first, barely perforated by various windows and embrasures; and the second part, with a gallery, more typical of Tuscany than a typical Valencian orchard. It is possible that this structure originally served as a Moorish communication tower. It is notable for the slope of the base – preceded in the past by a ditch – the stones with Hebrew characters used in the masonry of the façade and the plaster-coffered ceiling of the first floor.
